Training

• Once a prospect clear the selection procedure and makes it successfully through the merit list, he / she is given joining instructions for reporting to the corresponding training centres. For NDA entry prospects, the training will be conducted at National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, Pune. For AFCAT, NCC Special entry / CDSE entry and MET entry, the training is conducted at Air Force Academy, Dundigal initially and thereafter at several other units (depending on the branch and stage of training). The Engineering prospects, shall be subjected to training at Air Force Technical College (AFTC) Bengaluru for specific training after completion of common training at Air Force Academy. All the training establishments are equipped with the state-of-the-art infrastructure and superior facilities including institutes, well equipped classrooms, hobby clubs, swimming pools, sports ground, parade ground, etc. wherein holistic training is feasible. Once you join these training establishments, the IAF takes care of all your requirements like messing, lodging, etc. After successful completion of the training, a prospect / cadet becomes an Officer in Indian Air Force which is marked by conduct of Combined Graduation Parade (CGP) with pomp and glory.
