AFCAT ENTRY

  • The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) entry is available for aspirant who intend to join the Indian Air Force after successful completion of graduation/ post-graduation (as applicable). Through AFCAT entry, an aspirant can join the Flying branch, Ground Duty (Technical) and Ground Duty (Non- Technical) branches as per the following details:-

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION Candidates should have mandatorily passed with a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths & Physics at 10+2 level
AND
Graduation with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
OR
BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

 

OR
Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

OTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS
  • Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) conducted by IAF followed by Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) interview.
  • Short service commission in Technical Branch is for 10 years extendable by 4 years.
  • Final year/semester students can also apply for all entries. All such candidates should not have any present backlog and should have scored a minimum of 60% marks up to last semester/ year for which results have been declared at the time of applying/ AFSB testing.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AERONAUTICAL ENGINEER (ELECTRONICS) {AE(L)}

Candidates with a minimum Of 50% marks each In Physics And Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four years graduation/integrated Post-Graduation qualification In Engineering/ Technology from a recognised University or cleared sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate Membership Examination of the institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in the following disciplines:-

  • Entry to Ground Duty Branches is through Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) conducted by IAF followed by Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) interview.
  • Candidates recommended by AFSB are called for medical examination
  • Successful candidates would be directed to report for training if making it in all India merit list.

  • Graduate Degree (Min three year degree course) in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent or cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.
ACCOUNTS BRANCH
  • Passed 10+2
  • The candidates should have done graduation in any of the following streams with 60% marks or equivalent from a recognized University :-
  • B.Com Degree (min three years course)
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (with specialization in Finance)/ Bachelor of Management Studies (with specialization in Finance)/ Bachelor of Business Studies (with specialization in Finance)
  • Qualified CA/ CMA/ CS/ CFA
  • B.Sc. with specialization in Finance
Education

Passed 10+2

AND

Post-Graduation with 50% marks in any discipline including integrated courses offering PG (single degree without permission to exit and lateral entry) and with 60%marks in Graduation in any discipline.
